thanks wombat02.....the thing is ...i found the same stutters in 174.04 also....the drivers don't seem to make any difference...tried 1/2 doz......  :)....anyways, i'll enjoy fsx, for what ever i can get out of it and stop looking for perfection..........

Did you lock your frame rates as suggested? Try around 35 and I bet you will be smooth.

It took me 2 years to find "perfection" in FSX with my system. Great frames, no stutters, good eye-candy... I followed absolutely every word from Nick in every thread about setting it up right and the final change I made that gave me smoothness was to cancel the nVidia AA setting and use FSX's in-game setting for AA... WEIRD!

Do as Nick says
Play with your settings until you find "perfection"
