Ok went back redown loaded the base pack, and when I check the textures that came with it there was nothing their. But when you go to Air craft CFG, it showed 3 already, which none of these worked.

So I deleted them and added the new textures, and I don't even get a model to show.

You did add the thumbnails, correct?  If so, and you did the sound and panel, it should all be good.

The lack of a thumbnail would not prevent the aircraft being listed on the selection menu. What's the betting it's that Panel.cfg?

Lack of thumbnail sometimes gives that generic
"? aircraft", and sometimes it doesn't, and you get "preview shift"  At least that's what happens on  mine, and usually to get the "? aircraft", there has to be a jpg in the texture, but not named "thumbnail.

But panel is a good possibility too. Incompatable sound folder is also a possibility too?

The Panel is what affects whether it will be listed on the aircraft selection menu. The thumbnail should not affect it, nor should the sound although if it's aliased to the FS9 default B737_400 you will have no sound.

The "preview shift" as you call it is more likely to be caused by using FS9-style Aircraft.cfg entries. To prevent this happening the example Chris posted should really look like this: (Note the quotes " ".)
