As far as I remember, even when I flew it in FS9, this plane had almost nothing working in the VC.

But it still had some instruments in the VC

Are VC gauges defined in .MDL-files?
Did you know that 5 out of 4 people have difficulties with fractions?

Most VC Gauges are defined in the Panel.cfg file. Some things like the throttle, mixture, prop controlls, flaps, and gear handles might be in the model itself

Good :D .. Maybe if I manage to get some experience, I'd be able to create a VC for it..

one thing to think about is this, someone may want to just release a new f-16, I've seen some combat systems modeled in FSX so I would love to see a f-16 with accurate avionics and flight model (think falcon 4.0 openfalcon/red viper, allied force sucks) and weapons able to be fired.... and dx10 support.... ohhh that would be my wet dream....

FSX isn't a combat flightsimulator, so besides special effects, FSX does NOT simulate weapons... ;)

But yes, an FSX/SP2 F-16 would be great. But in the mean time, if I want to hop into a nice fighter and blast around the sky and do some carrier ops, there's always the Acceleration Hornet... :D

I'd really like to, but I don;t have such experience with any 3D program.. (well, I am pretty handy wth GMax, but basic models only...). And then there's another problem.. Th3flyboy said "someone may want to........".. It also mught happen that nobody wants to...

im saying that i would love to make one, but all my skills are coding, not 3d modeling or textures..... i just wish someone would make one....

also i've heard that iris is working on combat systems for fsx...

You Can't ...It has to be an xml compile (an FSX-SDK) original model ,the deal despite both are an mdl , both diferents formats ,this mean they are Not the same thing..

Unless you find an f-16 compiled in xml code (FSX) without VC (witch I doubt it)

Kirk's is an bgl model ,so far I haven't heard he made a new exportation using FSX-SDK ,and if he would ,he would build the VC ..

My Copy of kirk's f-16 work fine as it is in FSX with its VC and everything..

FSX isn't a combat flightsimulator,

Well, it's a flight simulator, and dogfight is a very important aspect of flight :P ;)

so besides special effects, FSX does NOT simulate weapons... ;)

It does not, however it allows you to simulate them externally, exactly like the rcbo gauges that externally simulate cables and catapults systems, thrust vectoring system for VTOL, and now even car handling system (with real car behavior, gears etc...).

But yes, an FSX/SP2 F-16 would be great. But in the mean time, if I want to hop into a nice fighter and blast around the sky and do some carrier ops, there's always the Acceleration Hornet... :D

... and the FS KBT super hornet :)

Aerosoft or some other payware maker is preparing an outstanding F-16 for FSX. Important point is that this F-16 will include a dogfilght system. You will actually be able to make cannon+sidewinder dogfights with another player that has the same plane.

I grab a copy in my FS2004 instalation and put it in FSX ..

:o Jezz ,You are talking about to make an entire  VC wich is imposible in a compiled model you have to make another plane with everything it needs you have no idea what does this mean, some people take YEARS to make a model..

why do you have to wait until someone make this silly things ,while you can ?

Why can't you put some compatible gauges and simply remove the file "inglass.bmp" wich a can be fix it too to make a transparent glass like in FS9? , I don't fly combat planes , But this plane is a 100% fixable ,each one of you can do it.. Is very easy , you just have to take a shot with all the gauges in FS9 game then search any of many compatible new gauges and replace them in pane.cfg

and BTW the VC is very easy to replace this gauges they are in separates Planes

example the red letters are the gauges you need to replace in VC section in Panel.cfg..Its A MILLON TIMES MUCH EASIER TO MAKE THIS SILLY THING THAN THINK TO BUILD A VC ,and trust me No one else can't ever make a model like this one..its unique a MASTERPIECE :-*
