There is an interesting video abot DX9 and DX10: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ouJ3pYhu43c&feature=related

given it is true FSX-SP2(DX10) is less than we wanted to deliver, the video is still more than a little unfair. the guidance I gave in my post about SP2 indicated that with bloom and water 2.hi on there would be a perforamnce difference. at no point in this video does it show performance numbers for that combination and instead shows no bloom and water 2.lo . the shots of the cockpit shadowing are so brief to not allow a proper impression of that feature either.

Of course,it's best to just try it yourself :)

valkyrie321 has updated the video based on my feedback, and we discussed this in the comment thread on the video link.

Yes, all. Vista is so bad that I have packaged my original disks into a nuke-proof sarcophagus and locked them away in a safety deposit box at the bank. The Bomb may go off and we'll all be killed but when Mankind finally gets back to where he was in 2008, at least he will have a pristine copy of XP from which to start the next advances in computer technology. If he is lucky, every copy of Vista will have been lost in the mushroom cloud...
My system: AMD Phenom 9500 cpu, 2 x eVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked vidcards (640Mb DDR3 each), Zalman "sunflower" 9700 fan, Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 mobo, 4Gb G.Skill PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz RAM, 2 x Sony 20X DVD writers, Thermaltake Toughpower 8
