try entering the value 4096 or lower into the text box and that should solve your problem

Flying yesterday I ran out of memory.
Had to restart FSX in the middle of the flight.
I have Vista Premium with four gigs of Corsair PC800 ram and an Evga 8800 GTX

I tried to change the page file size but no matter whay values I put in I get this message,  see pic.
Anyone have thoughts on this?

I tend to have the same problem with virtual memory, I think the max is four gigs, which sucks, since most of us have hundreds of gigs of free space to use(unless it's full of flightsim)

Its based pro rata on your memory size, not how much drivespace you have free.  The upper limit is 4 gig, since thats the upper limit in Vista.

Only limited in the 32bit edition. The 64bit edition is not and will run 16+ terabytes of PM as I recall, same as XP x64

I heard rumors that vista sp1 might push that limit up past 4gig in 32bit but it will never be the same as x64
