THen again, as has been posted elsewhere, usually the downloads already include a thumbnail image.  why not use that?  MAybe you'll need to resize it a bit and convert it, but it should be that troublesome!

I agree that little by little developers will start including a thumbnail in the packages...

That's true, but:

A. They don't always do that for FS9 and earlier models

B. They don't always give a clear picture when shrunk down to 256x128

Well, saved me a lot of disk space..at the end of FS9's lifetime, I only had like nine add-on aircraft - all top-notch 'though.

In FSX, my add-on aircraft count is like five or so.

At the of FS9's lifetime on my pc I only had a few...(500) hundred. But the lack of thumbnails doesn't bother my too much I just click on the one I want to fly, and if you don't know what it looks like thats bad..

Sounds like just the sort of repetitive task for which Adobe added Actions to PhotoShop.
