Title says it.

[size=14]Long awaited creation from Alejandro Rojas Lucena (aka Alrot) - Who will ever go back to the default?

Would this work with the PMDG 747-400X?

I'm a huge fan of that model in particular ;)

but of course not , the diference is that one cost about $60 bucks and maybe the owners and engineers from Boeing help to make it :o

OK I think we don't have many simviation users on this forum.

Even our facebook page has glorious praisings for Alex's new VC.

Who are you people and why are none of you seemingly part of the mainstream 400K simviation monthly users?

Something VERY wrong has happened to these forums. They have been overtaken with people who simply are not the mainstream simviation users. Time for change.

Maybe I'm being misunderstood. I visit SimV every day and get 99.9% of my planes from here. Love Alrots planes, fly them all the time. His Mustang is a piece of art! Thing is, I can't get the FMC in the PMDG 747 to work for me (gotta admit its a pain to learn) and it doesnt have a GPS. Would love to drop Alrots beautiful panel into the PMDG model if i was possible. thats all.

respectfully submitted.

Keep 'em flyin'!

To add Alex's VC to any native FSX model you need to understand a few steps.

in the Model folder you need to edit the model.cfg to include interior model (interior=B747_400_interior)

You will certainly need to edit the aircraft.cfg 'views' section. The only way to do this with a new untested model is to experiment with the settings

(the // is the original. It stops FS from reading that line of code)

e.g.

[Views]
//eyepoint=-14.000, -2.000, 14.800    // Longitude, Latitude and Vertical position from Reference Point, (FEET)
eyepoint=-32.000, -1.5000, 11.1    // Longitude, Latitude and Vertical position from Reference Point, (FEET)

But yes it can be added to any native FS model.

To see if it's a native FSX model look in the model\MDL file (open with notepad)and you will find MDLXMDL at the top of the page.
If it says MDL8MDLH - it's a FS9 model and cannot have the FSX VC added.

Here are some shots showing the various light levels in the cockpit on bad weather.
I wanted to make just a short hop to take screens, and in the end the real weather on Vaernes was looking so nice that I simply had to try an IFR landing... which took me an hour or so  :-/  ;D ;D

No lights:

And just one more to show the cockpit with instrument lights during taxi:

GA means like propeler airplanes, right? Cessna 172 82 baron58 etc??

To be very honest I even had the idea ,that you just gave me
Smaller airplanes example:a C172 does not have complex animation (Like that darn thrust reverses of the 747)

I would only add few things and the wiper effect
Good Idea Chuck (I didn't see your post neither Steve )

It could really be the next proyect ,I got some emails and many request me the same airplane the Lear45 but what important could I add to this cockpit ,it doesn't even have wipers?

Ill see those cockpits
