You not doing anything wrong. A lot of GAU files created for previous versions of FS are incompatible with FSX. Unfortunately you won't know which ones without trying them.
I try a lot of aircraft in FS9 & FSX & usually paste the gauges into the Panel folder of new aircraft to check them out. The ones that are OK can be transferred to the FSX\Gauges folder if you decide to keep the aircraft. Make a note of the file names of the "pre FS98" gauges so you can remove them. This should only happen with aircraft intended for earlier versions of FS. Aircraft/panels created specifically for FSX should obviously include compatible gauges whatever format they might be.
Hagar.
I'm not going into any arguement. But a lot of fs9 planes are giving trubles in a full fsx install.
I know you're running the demo, there they will work, so take it easy.
Problems i've got is with sound, textures and gauges (a lot of gauges).
Just to info you my freind.
Just one question.
How do you know that?
Try this new aircraft for fs9.
Draken at flightsim.bookmark.se.
No sound in cockpit. No startup. No nothing.
Try starter gauges from fs9. They are just clicking.
I'm still talking about a full fsx.
Noticed that admin has a comment everytime i post something.
Glad to be checked. Could i call it "big brother"?
I remember trying that Draken for someone else. It's very complex & you need to read the comprehensive flight manual to get the best out of it. I'm not convinced that its fully compatible with FSX.
Return to Flight Simulator X (FSX) and Steam
