Its not FS2006 its FSX!!!

FSX including FSX Steam version.

Its not FS2006 its FSX!!!

Postby blah » Tue Jan 03, 2006 11:17 am

No official announcement but, PC Gamer has already made an article.  Most likely to come out sometime in Febuary 2006.

Here is a scan of the article:

the link to the image is http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?s=18e021496da5e9b899c4be2b23827bd8&act=Attach&type=post&id=146773 linked since it is 14 pixels too wide

I still cannot tell the difference between some screenshots and real life pictures in FS2004.  Now FSX looks photoreal!!!

Now we will all be outdated  >:( when FSX comes out with Windows Vista.

Surround sound WOW!!!!

Guess its a little too late submitting ideas to microsoft...

::)I feel so outdated...i only started playing fs9 almost last week...always been using '98 for a LONG time

Out dated is nothing new, the second a computer leaves the shop it is out dated. Next week there is always stuff that is faster, smaller, cheaper, making your new baby ready to become a door stop, bookend, modern art or a pot plant holder.

Microsoft say thats not the official release date or anything that they had announced for fsx (something like that) it was posted as news on a flightsim site about a week ago (perhaps someone could find you the link) altough Microsoft say they will be announcing news soon and it will probably be released in q4 of 2006.

FS2004 was FS9 (FSIX)

Hence FS2006 is FS10 (FSX)

Just as FS11 (FSXI) will be FS2008. So when's that out? Any bets on the first post asking. December 06 perhaps?

Not to long Microsoft had sent me a invitation to particpate in a survey where I down loaded a little program that ran while I was flying and at the end I filled out a short questionare. I did this for quite some time untill I got tired of the crazzy prompt at the end of every flight I flew.
But I was told that the input from that survey would help determine what FSX might have in it.
It was my understanding that invitations went out to alot of other people who had registered FS9. 8)

Flight Sim always did tax the capabilities of a PC. I remember with FS2 I had to buy a new Hercules card to get it working on my 8086. I even skipped version 5 because I didn't have the hardware. I will probably wait on FSX and buy someones old 7800 graphics card cheap so I can fly FS9 without probs.

Fact of the matter is, they jumped the gun, provided false information, and now they are trying to cover their tracks. Ive lost most of my faith in them as of now...
