Another Problem

Postby Flying Trucker » Sun Aug 14, 2016 5:33 pm

Good evening all... <<u

I noticed I downloaded "Object Flow_CEJ4.DLL" hoping things would run smoother...HMMM...think it only works if you have P3 or something...

When FSX starts up it asks to RUN or NOT to RUN this Module...have clicked on both...after restarting FSX

I would like to uninstall this program completely as I am getting major problems...

-Black Boxes on Take-off and Landing on most all land planes and ALL Float planes landing and taking off on water...

-Black Boxes again on ALL NAV Lights and Rotating Beacon

Have tried a System Restore but the problems still exist.

Any other ideas, solutions would be most appreciated... <<v
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Object flow is the part that animates scenery objects such as people moving about or grass moving in the wind.

Do you have DX10 Preview turned off?

Good morning all... <<q

Hi Jet....nothing shows up when I do the Search...tried their site and got no information on how to uninstall their program...

Hi OldAirmail...DX10 Preview is OFF

I do not understand why System Restore did not work because when I created that Restore Point everything was OK.

Doug "Hagar" solved the problem for me with the Black Objects and Rock Like Objects which he posted here in this section "Page 6"...I took a look at that Post but it was for only one aircraft...now they all have the same problem.

Page 6..Post is "Problem with Amphibian" by Flying Trucker
And the problem had something to do with 3rd Party Add-ons and was Dougs "Hagars" reply...it worked

This should show up on the list when you click on uninstall programs. If it is not there than all you have to do is to find the folder where it is at and delete it.
If you put this in you module folder than you should be able to find it there.
You can also look in your FSX cfg file and remove the line that has trusted programs and remove the one for this program

Good morning all... <<u

Okay Gary I got Object Flow Deleted and All Lights work fine on all the simulated aircraft.

I still get Black Boxes and what looks like Rocks when landing and lots of Black Squares when I start an engine :?:

I have used Bojotes Tweaking Tool and that was back several years ago...have since updated and the only FSX CFG File is stored with them...a Link is supplied but does not work.

Wondering about a different Tweaking Tool to see if I can remedy the problem.

I use FSX Deluxe but can not find the Repair on either of the two Disks :?: Acceleration is also installed.

Hoping I will not have to do a complete FSX Install as that will take me Days.

Wow...think I just found by Backup CFG File...now how do I restore it and wonder if this will fix the problem :?:

Any other ideas would be most appreciated other than throwing this entire system in the River...

Try renaming the FSX. CFG file to FSX.bak this makes it a back up file
When you restart FSX it will build a new file and it will ask you about trusted programs and modules you have. Just do no start any module that you no longer want
If this does not work you might not have another option other than uninstall and reinstall and I know that is a pain in the rear.
I also think if you put in the FSX install cd and run it you will get an option to repair FSX, But there is no repair program on the FSX install disk, Your system will see that the program is already installed and ask if you want to repair it. At least that is the way most programs work.

Before you do that, check the aircraft .cfg files for the "effects" entries for water and land, then check you effects folder for those effect files, open those files and look for the BMP they call for, then check you effect folder "texture" folder for those BMP's. It sounds like they are missing for some reason.

Doug, some addon you have installed recently (probably an FS9 plane) must have overwritten the effect textures for smoke and wake.
Sometimes, it's also some uninstall program from a plane which deletes too much stuff... it happens.
Anyways, I had uploaded a long time ago a small file containing all of the essential smoke effects and corresponding textures. This package should set your FSX back to normal :)
Here is the link: http://sapdaube.free.fr/fsx/smoke%20effects.zip
This archive contains some .fx files which should be placed into your FSX\effects\ folder.
It also contains some .bmp files which should be placed into your FSX\effects\texture\ folder.
Let me know if it worked.
