Many FS2004 aircraft were 'updated' for FSX prior to the release of the service packs, particularly FSX-SP2/Acceleration, and work fine in FSX-RTM (and maybe SP1). SP2/Acceleration 'broke' compatiblilty with FS2004 SDK designed aircraft and scenery objects, including tranparency issues and the use of 'pallet colors' in modeling.

For FS2004 aircraft upgraded to FSX look for those that state they are 'SP2/Acceleration' compatible.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks Dave.
I know acceleration made a big difference on fsx, BUT not many uploaders mention that, and that is why i'm hassling about unfinished fsx uploads ;)
