Cockpit Lighting Change !!

Postby Jetranger » Tue Mar 13, 2012 7:42 pm

Today, I changed the Lighting in a Cockpit for the 1st time, I'd never done it before, I got a "C-46A Commando" propliner off from here, but the lights inside the cockpit were so Bright, you'd think the Sun was setting in your lap. So, luckily, I had another Aircraft, the Uiver DC-2 and the lighting inside that cockpit is perfect O',, so I went into the CFG files and copied the VC Lighting command lines and swapped them out, but only for the VC and nothing else. I deleted these lines : light.7 = 4,   18,      -1.0,       2.731,  fx_vclighth ,
light.8 = 4,    7.985,   0.0,      2.431,  fx_vclighth ,
light.9 = 4,    1.102,   0.0,      2.431,  fx_vclighth ,
light.10 = 4,   -5.932,   0.0,     2.431,  fx_vclighth ,
light.11 = 4,  -12.869,   0.0,      2.431,  fx_vclighth ,
and swapped them with another aircraft more desirable, just had to make sure that the "h" was behind the vclight,, because thats the way the original file line was used, so, I didn't want to stray and find out the hard way,, now the lights inside the commondo are more reasonable and I don't feel like i'm going to get sunburned ! I'll try to provide photos of before and after, so you can see the difference.  Jet. :-X

"A bit of a pickle" - British translation: A catastrophically bad situation with potentially fatal consequences.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
