USCG Dauphin

Postby Raoul98 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:04 pm

I found a fs9 Dauphin model that works in FSX the only problem is that the outside model has black windows and no transparent, and the inside VC panel is black.

can somebody convert it into a good model or does someone knows a fix for that?? please reply

You need to invert the alpha channel on the textures for the 4 glass textures and the instrument panel texture using DXTBmp.

FSX is WAY overdue for a good Dauphin.  I have yet to find one that was built for FSX.  Most all are adapted to work......sort of.

I've had a look at the Dauphin from your link. It's an FS2002 model. It can be tweaked to display in FSX but will never be fully compatible. I don't wish to upload an update but I can show you how to do it yourself.

Once you've done it you will find out how easy it is. It will make FS more interesting & you will learn a lot about your computer. That's the beauty of MSFS & one reason why MS Flight will never catch on.

OK. We'll do this via PM if you wish. I'm busy right now so it might be a while before I contact you.

In the meantime download DXTBmp from here & install it. http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm
