The last few years have been a blast for all fellow flight simmers.
Everything from the Rollus Mirage 2000 to the project Tupolev tu-154.
And while we're on the subject of the 154 we have all been waiting and asking for the team to make it an fsx compatible one without all the missing gauges.
And our questions may have been answered with the New Tupolev tu-154 b.2 beta v1.0.

Out of Salesman mode

This is a great plane, no denying, but the fact tat you ALWAYS have to use the proper systems is kinda stressful.
I mean, sometimes I want to start at the parking cold and dark and read the manual and do a proper sequence. Sometimes I want to start on the runway, Push ctrl+E and do unrealistic stuff like do vfr in a heavy and randomly push stuff in the cockpit and see what happens.
That's what makes the Ivan Jurcaga mf so good. a panel for everything. And The tupolev team should also make English Cockpit tooltips and manuals. Hope they will do the above cause this has the opportunity to become just like the Rollus mirage 2000 became the VRS F/A-18E of freeware, This could become the PMDG 744 of freeware.

Loved that plane in FS9, tried down loading  it of Avsim a year ago, and the gauges were there, but the VC didn't show up.

This is a fantastic ("payware quality") addon for FSX, and having used the Tu-154 series (B-2 and M) for FS2004 for many years, this presents a great continuation of Project Tupolev's heritage (with the cooperation of Kirill Konovalov)!
This freeware aircraft is an extremely complex systems-simulation of the Tu-154B-2 airliner, and the 2004 versions of this addon were used at one of the Tupolev corporate offices as a systems-training device.

First and foremost, there is an upgrade out to beta-2. (This forum isn't letting me provide a link though)

Second, I have have been using the Tu-154 series for many years now, and I feel that I can provide quality English-language, patient, pleasant instruction to those users looking to learn how to fly this unique aircraft.

While I'm happy to take simpler operational queries here, if I may...I have a full "Flight School" and resource section, where I have just started providing help and guidance with the Tu-154B-2 for FSX to a few other users.
This forum is not letting me post active links, so do a Google search for "Sean's Russian Flight School", and it should come up as an "Aviation Cafe" link.
Keeping in mind that 2004-era liveries work on this model, I also have a listing of over 100 liveries that are available for this addon currently.


I don't mean to detract from this forum, but I also am sure that the mods don't want this thread to reach 50-odd pages of help queries if some people want to learn the aircraft.

Also, remember that this FSX release does come with a full 160-something page English-language, easy-to-follow flight manual located here:

The manual was made for the original 2004 version, but with the exception of some registration stuff in the beginning that is irrelevant, the manual as a whole is a must-have necessity for this aircraft.

I hope a few people here try their hand at learning this aircraft, either with the manual alone, or with the assistance that I am offering in concert with the manual.
It's a highly-detailed and very rewarding aircraft to master.

Are you a Ptupolev developer? If so con you work on making there English tooltips. And Also a "quickstart". Just to make it more fun to fly for beginners

I am not a developer. Just an enthusiast who has been using Project Tupolev's Tu-154 series for numerous years. Along with that, I've spent a lot of time researching the aircraft series independently.

The PT team has stated on a few occasions that they are vehemently against making a "quickstart" option. They are of the mindset that one must truly learn the aircraft, and have stated that users who are not interested in following procedures should not use this addon.

I think there are a handful of English tooltips (such as on the altimeter functions for millibars) but other than that, it goes back to that mindset. One must truly learn the aircraft through the manual and practice, with no compromises.

I agree that some sort of easier mode would bring more users to this addon, but I have no say in that, and they have strictly stated that it's only designed for users who want to fly fully realistically.
