Jagged edges

Postby hyperpep111 » Wed Oct 19, 2011 2:05 pm

Hello :)
I'm just wondering if there is away to get the "jagged edges" away. I've tried anti-aliasing, setting the screen to my native resolution and nothing works :( Any help?
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

If you have a graphics card, see if it has a user option thingy on the computer control panel.  It may have it's own anti-aliasing settings feature.

as stated turn off anti-Ailising in the sim and turn it on in your graphics card settings if at all possible.

Hello.
Thanks for all the quick replies :-*
Where can I find the card settings?
I use a chipset 4 series and someone else who posted shots on another site had the exact same one but he never had any jagged edges  :(

I looked at one of your screenshots and it's obvious that anti-aliasing is not working. What graphics chip are you using? Who is it made by? To find out click start, run, type dxdiag, press enter, go to display tab, and tell us what it says there.

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Maybe your graphics card doesn't support anti-aliasing for FSX. I know the laptop I'm writing from doesn't. The anti-aliasing option on the graphics card controler is checked and so is the FSX one and nothing happens. I guess it has to do with the card not having support for OpenGL.
