Autopilot Add on FSX- Install method?

Just wondering if someone can help me in step by step method in installing helicopter autopilot add on for FSX. Cheers John :)

John,

Are you referring to Antti Pankonen's/Dirk Fassbender's FSX 'Cougar' Hover/Auto Pilot? It's the only one I know of.

Can you give a link to the autopilot download you have so I can expand on the specific install instructions included, as necessary.

What helicopter are you adding the autopilot to. If it's an addon, can you provide a link.

Are you familiar with editing panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg files?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Unzip the download (Rotorcraft-auto-pilot.zip) to a temp location. Open the folder
