default texture

Postby dacair » Sat Jun 25, 2011 8:14 am

Hi all,

I have FSX SP2 installed on my computer and I like to fly the default B737-800 jet.Few days ago I have downloaded and installed a texture.
My question is - how can I make a change so that this texture will be the one displayed in the "Select Aircraft" window.

As I have it now I need to check first "show all variants" checkbox and then takes time to load all variants ...

Thanks,
Cristi

[[glow=yellow,2,300]fltsim.0[/glow]]

sim=Boeing737-800
model=

texture=[glow=yellow,2,300]1[/glow]
kb_checklists=Boeing737-800_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-800_ref
atc_id=N737W
atc_airline=Boeing
atc_flight_number=
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_type="737-800"
ui_variation=[glow=yellow,2,300]"Boeing livery"[/glow]
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Microsoft Corporation"

Change the 4 highlighted areas above inside your AIRCRAFT.CFG for the 737-800.
[fltsim.X] should be the next sequential number 1,2,3,4 etc...
title=Boeing 737-800 (take out the Paint1 and call it what it is..)
texture= (what is the NAME of the TEXTURE FOLDER that you are adding??? "texture.X"
ui_variation=what colors, or paint is it???

if you want to give your flights a static/non-changing ATC FLIGHT NUMBER, you can do that also up above.

It's a lot less complicated than Capt. Propwash is making it out to be.

The defining parameter is [fltsim.0] is the variant that gets displayed when you un-check "show all variants"

Simply change the livery, or variant, you want to show to [fltsim.0] and change the original [fltsim.0] to whatever your favorite was before.

That is, if you want [fltsim.4] to show up when you un-check "show all variants", change it to [fltsim.0] and change the original [fltsim.0] to [fltsim.4]

They do not have to be in numerical order in the aircraft.cfg so you do not need to spend the time (and possibly mess things up) moving them around. FS will sort it out.

Note that you cannot have multiple [fltsim.nn] with the same number, only one will show in the sim.

cheers,
Joe

[quote]You might be able to re-arrange the fltsim.X entries so that your new texture will be the [fltsim.0] and be the first one called into the sim.
