Tip for when FSX crashes with memory message and memory isnt used to the full

Let me start by telling that I'm far from a computer expert, I'm a simple user who has been arguing with his computer for 20 years and learned a lesson here and there.
What I'm gonna describe here is found by hit and mis trying, mess up my machine, reinstal windows and start all over, trying something new.
But since I found what works for me, and this is with Win7 and FSX + Accelerator, on a midclass computer, I thought to share this. Maybe I can turn some light on what other people are working on.

For installing windows, I've been using NickN's basic Win7 instal procedure, with 27.xxx Nvidia drivers with NvidiaInspector and Afterburner, but from installing FSX on I went my own way.

I did not start the autoplay finction when I inserted the CDrom, but went to the folder, rightclicked the setup-application and went to properties.
There choose the compatibility tab and set the compatibility to Vista SP1, apply, ok and run the setup.
You dont have to do this for CDrom 2, just insert that one and press ok.
I installed FSX on a second harddrive, I think this would be the best way to go.
When the instal window opens, choose 'more options' and there you can choose the folder you want FSX to be installed. Choose you folder and instal FSX.
Boot up the sim and close it, then restart the computer.
Insert Acceleration, again go to the folder, rightclick Setup, go to properties and again set it to Vista SP1 mode, apply, ok and start the setup.
When done, boot FSX, close it and restart the computer.

Only here I installed the driver and software for my controls.
I had the Saitek x52 and since this week own a x52pro, so I know only for those 2 how this works, but with some trial and error, you might be able to find how your controls work best.

For the X52:
Download latest drivers from Saitek.com en in the same way as described for the instalation of FSX, go to properties and set them to instal in Vista SP1 mode, also turn on 'Disable display scaling on high DPI setting'(I dont know what this does, but this is what I found on some forum and it seems to work fine this way...), apply, ok and instal the software first!
After this the drivers, using the same procedures.

For the X52pro:
Download the latest drivers and software from Saitek.com

You dont say why it crashed, If it was a memory error, and you are running a 32 bit os, then there is a good reason for that. Maybe you can specify your setup and os so others can see,
AMD P2 1090t CPU,4.1 GHZ. 8Gig DDr3 1600 MHz cas 9, ram, Nvidia GTX 560 ti 1 gig Video, Sound Blaster XFI Extreme audio
