AI Traffic

Postby RacingLad » Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:33 am

Is there a way to increase AI traffic at any given airport?

I'm currently using WOAI and my local airport is almost alway free of AI traffic in though in the real world it's usually full fo GA aircraft.

Bu the way, the WOAI website forum was of no help.

There's no 'magical' way. The only way is to install ai flight plans ('traffic*.bgl' files) that have flightplans that include scheduled stops at your airport.

If you can't find ai traffic downloads that fly to your airport, you can create them using one of the 'ai flight planner' tools available. The one I prefer is AI Flight Planner' (AIFP), available here-http://members.shaw.ca/aifp/

The other requirement is that your airport must have enough parking spots for the ai aircraft. If you have the FSX SDK installed you can use ADE9X-http://www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk/index.html-to add parking, and connecting taxiways, as required.

If you need help to create your own ai traffic file you should post in the 'Adding Aircraft Traffic (AI)......' forum. Mention that you adding traffic to FSX.

Is MMMY the airport, or a smaller local airport?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

MMMY is the International airport for Monterrey, MX. It get's its fair share of AI traffic in FSX.

The airport that I'm interested in filling up is MMAN which is our local GA airport.

But thanks for the info, I have some reading to do...
