Using SBuildX,Gmax etc. in FSX - can it be done?

I am new to the idea of creating scenery objects and buildings in FSX and am plugging my way through tutorials and hints.

I am looking at using SBuildX,Gmax 1.2, and EOD 2.284 but am unclear as to whether they can be used in FSX or only in the earlier versions of Flight Sim.

Can someone let me know if they are still usable in FSX (and is there anything different I need to do to use them in FSX) ? :-?
