Acceleration failure to load

Postby yakman » Tue Nov 24, 2009 12:16 pm

Hello all.

i recently had my microprocesser replaced and lost all my data.
So reinstalled FSX.
When I try and install Acceleration, it very quickly flashes the install icon then dissappears.

I have tried manually. no joy!
I have done windows install cleaner.

anybody with any ideas please?
I have SP1 and 2 loaded.
I have a couple of add ons, L-39 (Lotus) and Typhoon by first class.

Hi Folks

Yakman -
Acceleration already contains SP2.

You need to uninstall the standalone SP2.
Run then close FSX
Then install Acceleration.

Please report back here
whether Acceleration is fully functional
as there have supposedly been
some post SP2 standalone issues with Acceleration.

Perhaps this might be relevant:

In order to install FS Acceleration or Service Pack 2, a missing registry entry must be manually entered that indicates the location of the file called "language.dll".

1.Start RegEdit.

Hello again, i'm afraid this did not work. Indeed the path and wording were there already as you asked me to do.

Same symtoms, CD in a very quick flash of the install icon and then nothing. When I go to open the drive it does say" 0 bytes free of 2.78 GB"
is this normal?
Thanks again for all the help
