HELP! Lost GPS Screen!

Postby Artificial_Horizon » Sun Nov 01, 2009 2:42 pm

eheh.... ;D here again to ask you help! I started to add new files and now they are perfectly working and some of 'em is very cool I have to say. So...now the problem is that since I started to add new planes I've lost the GPS function screen for all but the F-16...and I don't know if it's the same for you boys and girls but honestly when I fly on route somewhere without this device I feel like a little blind...not cool ah?

i personnaly lost some gauges after installing a lot of stuff, i figured i have seen the max. of my system. so i cant help with the first part of your question. but for uninstall/install part, see this when you uninstall fsx 2 questions will be ask to you,: do you want to uninstall the game from your hard disk: answer yes. the second question will be: do you want to delete your save files, say no and you will keep everything : logbook, rewards and even the add airplanes.very cool.

Most of my aircraft use the keys "shift + 3" for the GPS, which I believe is default. However there are some others that use a different combo such as "shift + 4" and so on. Try other combos to see if it works or not. Then again, some addons dont have a GPS anyways.
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I am having similar problems. In fact the bar gives you the option to click over to kneeboard, extra gauges, GPS etc is missing on the panels of even my default aircraft. When I use the shift+1-9 I can get everything but the GPS.

You could always learn to fly without a GPS. It will make your flightsim experience much more rewarding.... ;)

As for the logbook, that's why I always suggest using a 3rd party spreadsheet to log your time. This way it is seperate from FS in the event that you need to re-install everything.

I decided to uninstall and reinstall FSX. Now everything works although I need to redo my add-ons which is probably a good thing since I did a lousy job of it the first time.
