Large Private Airfields

Postby Mattace64 » Sun Jun 28, 2009 3:43 am

Just for a change of pace I would like to find an airfield that has a large runway but is not at a huge airport...  Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know any.

KROW in Roswell, NM, yes it is that Roswell.

03/21 13,004' * 200'
17/35 10,016' * 100'
12/30 7,427' * 200'

KROW use to be a SAC airbase, the airbase was closed in the 60's or 70's.  Now it is a very small municipal airport with small commuter jets and props going in an out.  I do not know if they still do, but a lot of large commumter jets and military jets used to do touch & go practice landings at KROW.
