Walk in the passenger compartment

Postby idahosurge » Fri Jun 05, 2009 3:11 pm

How do you walk around in the passenger compartment (view inside).  I have seen picutures, but can not see how to get in there.

If someone knows how to get into any of the FSX Deluxe default aircraft that would help.  Or Alejandro's just released Citation X.

Yes and no. I have deluxe edition. Some default FSX aircraft don't have a bitmap for the interior. Those are the ones where the windows are "painted on" like the 737-800. Other ones, like the DC-3 do have interior bitmaps. if you look closely, the DC-3 has transparent windows unlike the 737-800 and you can see the chairs in them. Unfortunately, there is no view. Sorry. As for the Citation X, I thought it had a command to get inside the passenger area. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

If the interior is modeled and textured.. you can just use the view commands to move: left/right/forward/backward/up/down.. and pan any direction from wherever you are.

Some aircraft (like the CitationX mentioned, and my Saab 340), have a passenger seat camera defenition.. If you right click on "nothing" you'll see the view options.. along with a 'Virtual cockpit' , and "Right Seat'..  you'll see, 'Passenger Seat"

There are key-strokes for all of this moving and camera selection.. I'm not going to list them all.. but they're easy to find ..

Thanks Brett, I was able to get into the passenger compartment of the Citation X.

It looks like not one of the default FSX planes have a passenger compartment.  I find that kind of strange, but the is the way that it goes.
