Autopillots in FSX - Problem with Approach Hold

Approach hold doesn't work on Glass Cockpits and some others. Is this function supposed to work in FSX ?

Are the avionics set up right? I would have to fiddle around with it to figure it out, as I always manually fly my approaches... ;D

I would assume they are set up correctly since in the Baron B-58 with steam gauges the approach hold functions correctly, but when I switch to the glass cockpit to use the Garmin 1000 it doesn't work at all. Also there is no presentation of glide slope information in the glass cockpit that I can find.  Surely the Garmin 1000 isn't  only for VFR is it ?

So this is my question - is it supposed to  work?

I've looked at the Garmin 1000 owners manual on the internet and it is very quiet on the subject of instrument approaches so maybe I'm trying to make it do something is isn't designed to do.  AM I ?

Is anybody using the G-1000 for IFR? How are you doing it?

Well - this problem is solved - somewhat. It seems that the frequency received by NAV 1 is not the same as the frequency displayed.

Guess I'll try a reinstall first and see if that solves anything.

I know my G1000 172 has a glide slope if an ILS is properly tuned.  Can't swear to the Baron as I don't fly the glass version of it hardly ever.  They should both work, can't say that i've ever tried the approach hold in either aircraft as I usually fly those by hand.  I usually only use the approach hold on the jets cuz they are so twitchy
