Iv Noticed when I do flights over 200nm or so...using real time... I land at the next airport with all scenary fine except for some reason my jetways dont load... and i have to refresh my scenary in order to get them back, this has baffeled me for some time as all other scenary is just fine with no problems and its just hassle every time I land to make the scenary load all over again. anyone know why they disappear after a long realtime flght every time???

wow, that's incredible.

I know what you mean. I enjoy flying aircraft with modern avionics, but there's just something about an older aircraft that I love.

A similar thing happens to me. If I go higher than 400,000ft and then return to earth I can only see buildings, trees etc. 2 miles in front of me.

So if your interested I'll start a diffrent thread on my cross country flight in a 1918 Curtiss Jenny, so I can give you the extra details ( I mapped out 4 diffrent routes before I was able to complete the flight) from what I've learn!

Yes please! I'm still getting the hang of using FSX but I'm sure I would find such a thread interesting if you're prepared to post the details. It would be helpful if you could post a link to the thread here.

Well to each his own I suppose.  But I do like flying realistic commercial flights over the oceans, and just don't have the ten hours it takes....

Flying over the destination airport, seems to the be the best solution for the scenery problem.  I haven't had much luck with the scenery refresh key.

Just for interest. When you are doing these flights when do you start your let down?

I have used the sim rate a few times but always go back to normal when I get to the descent point--usually 100-110nm out from the target airport.

That seems to give everything time to refresh although it may take a 20-30 seconds.

White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.
