Panals Flash White When Opened

I'm sure this is an old problem but I'm counting on the experience of the old guard on this site to direct me to a solution. When I activate an instrument panel view, the second I run the mouse pointer over an active control all of my screens flash white for a second then return to normal. After this flash the feature that lets you identify the control is no longer available. Not a big deal but a bit of an annoyance. Any help here would be appreciated.

Do I  understand you properly ... you view Instrument Panel - Main panel - then mouse over a control?

If this is the case does it happen with all aircraft? I have just done this with no problem. I was trying the Extra. All controls in that IFR panel are pretty self evident in that at least but I could imagine in some a/c they are not.
If you mean something else please explain. Are you running multiple screens?

I actually have the same problem, its fairly random to me, at least I haven't noticed if its only default or only addons.

What happens, for example, is you hit Shift+4 to get the throttle quadrant up, when you put the mouse over a switch the screen flashes white. It then reloads the panel etc and you have full functionality back. This sometimes repeats for all the different panel screens.

Go into the settings and, under the aircraft tab, uncheck "show cockpit tooltips"

I will try that in the morning SubZero. I have shut down that feature but I am to tired to fly tonight. I will take off in the morning and get back to you on the results
