Well hey you dont have to believe me but think,
if you downloaded something on your game how's my game going to load that same exact thing and show it to me when my game doesent even know what it is.

well, the game already knows what it is... it just doesn't know what it looks like

it would be a simple matter of looking up the aircraft name in my proxy folder and copying the contents linked to that over to your sim

that's why i have proposed this hypothetical 'proxy' folder

imagine, if you will, a folder on your FSX installation, that would keep proxy models of all planes you install... yes, it would be necessary for the addon developer to provide such model... so whenever you download and install a new aircraft, you put the proxy model of your new addon inside this folder

this proxy folder would be 'shared' online, for all other players to connect to and download

so when you go multiplaying, everyone else playing with you can download off your computer the proxy model for the aircraft you're flying, and in the same way, you will download the models of the aircraft other people are flying off their proxy folders

this doesn't exist as of yet... and given the current situation it might be a long while before we can even wish for new features.... but this idea occurred to me and i thought it worth sharing
