saving created flights

FSX including FSX Steam version.

saving created flights

In my older FS versions a created flight was saved and when wanted it was exactly as saved.  In FSX the time, date and season are the same as the system time, etc., and not as saved.  Is this normal for FSX?

Bob,

FSX is the same as FS2004 in regards to the time displayed in the start up Free Fight (Create a Fight in FS2004) window. Like FS2004, you select system or flight time in the Settings>General dialog.

This only effects the date/time of the default flight displayed. All Load(ed) flights retain their saved date/time.

If you're referring to 'starting where you left off' by designating the FS2004 (automatically saved on exit) 'Previous flight' as the default flight.....FSX no longer automatically saves on exit. You have to manually save the flight before exit, or I believe that FSUIPC (free version) will perform a save on exit.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
