FSX Will Not Start

FSX Loads to the splash screen then stops.

FSX Loads to the splash screen then stops.  Have unloaded and reloaded but still just goes to splash screen and locks up.

I anybody has any suggestions on how to correct this I appreciate it.

Hanging on the splash screen is a symptom of a corrupt logbook.bin file.

To get going again, rename the logbook.bin and FSX will then start
and build a new one.
You should download one of the logbook repair/recovery utilities as
well as a logbook editor. Look for those authored by Lamont Clark.

Chances are you attempted to edit the logbook from the FSX menu system.
This is a SURE way to corrupt the logbook as there is a problem with
the code in FSX for editing and resaving the logbook.

In WinXP the logbook is located in "My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files"
