I'll rephrase.....
The control axis you assigned for throttle in an airplane is the control axis for the collective in a heli. The sim makes the switch automatically, no need for you to make any new assignment.
The twist grip on the collective is labeled 'throttle' and is used to set the governed turbine/rotor rpm. It will be controlled by the axis you have assigned to 'propeller axis' if you have made that assignment.
There are no seperate control assignments for helicopters, so if you want the collective controlled by something other than your airplane throttle axis assignment, you would have to make reassignments as needed.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
