Gate signs

New here. KSLC airport has gates plainly marked! No other airport have this( I've flown to over 800!) If they have gate numbers at Salt Lake, then why in the world can't they do it at other airports?

i dunno cause i think when that airport was built i think they wanted it to be unicke (i cant spell that good) and they thought it would be easier for planes to identify the gates they are supposed to go to
