ATC IFR bug

This is completely ruining my IFR flights, and it's happened 4 times out of 4 flights so far.



ATC tells me to turn left heading 300. I copy.
Less than 5 seconds later ATC tells me to turn further left heading 270.

I try to copy, but my response options are just plain GONE.

And then my IFR flight gets canceled.

First, confirm to me you have FSX SP1 and SP2 and that you have restarted your computer and are running FSX as admin (vista only).
Installed any new addons lately? Uninstall them one at a time and test FSX.

Windows XP, SP3

FSX has SP1 (haven't installed SP2 because the last time I tried SP2 it royally FUBAR'd my FSX)

Running admin, and my computer has been restarted.

The only real add-on I have is World of AI, but this ATC bug has happened 3 times before I installed WoAI.

Do aircraft repaints count as add-ons?

Happens to me too, I'm running Vista and Acceleration.

Just hit Shift+2 and swap your comm1 frequency. This should give you the option to re-tune to the proper channel and allow you to respond.


I'd be interested to see if there was a permanent fix.

This game seriously goes out of its way to piss me off....I'm 30 seconds from touchdown, I move to hit the landing lights, my pinkie misses the L key, and hits the ; thus resetting my flight.

You can reassign all those keystrokes in the FSX Controls menu.

My reset flight and reload aircraft are set to use multi-key entries
