gauge42=KingAir_1!AutoFeather_Light, 456, 2
Hagar the KingAir300 repairman:
That did the trick for the autofeather lights. Before I send you a panel update photo (and a VC view you won't believe) I'd like to tackle just a couple of more issues.
1st- is a good thing: If you look closely at those earlier posts of my panel, you'll note that the left and right ignition switches are a bit out of wack. Based on the other changes you suggested, I fixed that by adding the same KingAir_1 to guages 25 and 48.
2nd- Not so good: Not in the panel, probably in the aircraft.cfg--Right now when I start the KA300 on runway 25 at KPHF or wherever, the default has it set with the the plane rolling forward. I'd like it to start at idle speed with the parking brakes applied. I can't recall how to set this. How do we fix this?
3rd: Maybe not good- On the Dual Needle RMI gauge, I'm not sure if it's intentional, but the yellow and green arrow are not right over each other. I just noticed it looked a bit off.
4th: Really not good- While the switches for the lights work, the exterior lights don't. I see nothing blinking after setting the lights on and looking at the exterior F11 view. After closer inspection, the landing lights do work, but none of the others do. How do we fix this?
I still am confused by the master caution light being on, but not that concerned about it now.
But, if we can tackle #2 and #4, I think we can just about finish this bout of perfectionism I'm going through.
We seem to be almost there.![]()
No change on the RMI, like you thought..it is what it is. The master caution is the same, but, on my personal standard version of FSX it's probably just a "who's that fat guy in the pilot seat?" alert
I found two final snags:
1- If you look closely at the photo I took for a thumbnail for the texture folder within the KingAir300 folder you will see three things there:
A- While the plane is at an altitude of roughly 2000 ft for the screen shot, the yellow chocks are visible.
B- If you look closely at the 6 oclock position on the spinning propellors, you'll see a vertical red line going from center to the tip of the wing on each side.
C-What the heck are those red "tags" to the right of the copilot window, on the inboard part of the starboard engine, and at the nose?
I've drawn some crude circles and an arrow to show you:
#2- In a closeup of the props while in flight with clouds in the background, the rotation doesn't show up white or grey, but blue:
Compare this to the Barron 58 below where the appearance is more tranparent:
I think these things might just do it. Aparently I'll have to consult with Jared from Subway or Richard Simmons to resolve the Fat Guy In The Pilot Seat problem! ;D
