FSX Acceleration Reinstall

I decide to do a bit of a clear down on my system to get rid of some unwanted addons.
I decided to uninstall active sky, this took quite a while on preparing uninstall, I decided to leave it to do the process, i came back about an hour later to discover it was still on the same screen. So this lead me to beleive it had crashed. i canceled the uninstall and wet back onto fsx to do a bit more flying; but fsx wasnt there anymore, i went into the directory... disappeared... completely.
So I uninstalled it Acceleration pack then uninstall fsx followed by that to do a completely new installation, but the acceleration pack wouldnt want to do a thing without an error saying it wasnt installed... I then tried uninstalling fsx; fsx could be reinstalled and all was working fine, but as for my acceleraion pack; well, it wouldnt do anything. I cant even bring up the installer from the CD (it just opens for a second on preparing installation and then dissappears again and no installer shows. I thought it could be a bad CD and too scratched and I decided to go and download it illegaly even though i had already got the proper copy on CD. However, once downloading had finished, still no luck, exactly the same happened, the "preparing installation" box comes up for a second then dissapears again not to be seen again.

SUMMARY
So at the moment I have fsx (brand new installation) installed with no addons, and fsx acceleration still installed "apparently to the registery" but no way to uninstall it through the programs uninstaller through control panel without a error message, and no way to repair, reinstall or uninstall through the fsx accel CD or Illegal copy as the "preparing installer" only comes up for a second and doesnt boot the EXE.

ANY IDEAS OF HOW TO COMPLETELY REMOVE FLIGHT SIMULATOR AND ALL ITS ADDONS FROM THE REGISTERY??

A 20 second search on the microsoft website has a full manual uninstallation step by step process up there...

I just reinstalled FSX&Accel and what I did was delete all local content for the FSX Folder.  I actually forgot to delete the Documents and Settings Application Data FSX folder, but it still worked for me.  Then I went to Control Panel and removed Acceleration in there.  As for FSX, it needs to be uninstalled from the DVD - when you put it in the computer it should auto play and give you the option or Repair, Modify, or Remove.  After running the uninstall for both the games, then open regedit (run>regedit>OK).  Do a search starting at the top for "flight" and remove all the strings that pertain to FSX for FSXaccel.  There is an abbreviation in a couple strings for Accel.

I will warn you that after I did that windows didn't want to restart, it was getting a blue screen and rebooting.  But I did press F8 to open up the run options and selected Run Last Known Configuration That Worked and I haven't had any problems since.
