Socata TBM 700 glass problems

Postby dacair » Wed Sep 03, 2008 12:56 am

Hy,
I've download the Socata TBM 700 pack and instaled on FSX. Everything seems to be ok but on the the windows glass I can see just the reflections from inside of cockpit.
I connot open the link : FSX FAQ - "F16 glass fix"  (file not found error).
Please help me to make the changes to make the glass invizible.

Thanks

I had this problem as well.
It's once again all about editing the textures to make them transparent, nothing complex, just the usual procedure that has been explained thousand times here already.
Sorry I do not have the texture names in mind, but they are more than easy to find.

OK, here is the list, the modification are quite simple. You must edit the textures:
- glassdetail.bmp
- glassdetail2.bmp
- diver6.bmp

Each time, you will need to
- create an alpha channel(black)
- export alpha to editor
- fill the alpha with a dark grey
- save in the editor
- refresh alpha in DXTBMP
- save the picture as extended bitmap, DTX3

And this is what you will get:

Hi,
Sorry for late with the answer.
Thank you very much for your quick answer.

@Daube the procedure was so easy. Thanks again.
