FSX Activation

Postby expat » Wed Aug 27, 2008 5:28 pm

I bought FSX as soon as it was released and up until now have had no problems with it. Last week my laptop was returned for repair. The WLAN card was replaced and something called the FBSU (???). Upon return FSX asked to be reactivated. I assume it was due to the hardware being replaced. I reactivated it and all was great until my next session. Now each time I load FSX it is asking for reactivation. Each time it tells me it was successful but obviously it is not. Before I spend $$$$ on a call center number, has anyone come across this already or any thoughts on the problem.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Sounds like something might be wrong with the game software or something. Id give support a call or something and it might even be the activation code.

As long as you havent used it on 3 computers(I think thats what it is) then they might give you another code to use.

Hope everything works out ;)

Well, M$ has just emailed me three pages of A4 full of small download links and a click here and a click there to reset the activation process to bring my back to a "null" condition. I think NickN would probably be able to make head and tail of it. I will just do what it says and see what happens :-?

Try the software licence reset tool.  You may have to uninstall/reinstall.  But the license problem should be no more and activation should sort it out.

There is no "might" at all. You will always get a new activation code if the request is made politely.  ;D
