FSX will not start

Postby expat » Sat Aug 23, 2008 9:53 am

I have had to resort to my desk top for FSX because my laptop is being repaired. I have not used the desk top version for some time and have made no changes to it at all. The start up FSX window comes up, the load seems normal. Then FSX just shuts to the desk top. I have tried display driver update, a reinstall using "repair" and deleting the config and restarting. On the last point FSX is not rewriting the config as it should. Any one got any ideas.

Thanks

Matt

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Hi,

Make sure FSX is closed.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files and rename your logbook.bin to logbook_old.bin

Start FSX
