cfg doesnt work

FSX including FSX Steam version.

cfg doesnt work

i wanted to download 747 aircrafts and after i downloaded them and put the " fltsim.x" in the cfg notepad it doenst wanna save it says " Cannot create the aircraft.cfg file make sure the path is correct'' and this happens to me only in the aircrafts which i have to add the fltsim.x

do you have any clue for me to fix it i have vista

ok i solved this problem and a new problem showed up the aircraft is not in the game!

Vista won't let you, drag the .cfg to your desktop, make the changes, save, and put it back in the folder.

And make sure you replace the 'x' with a number if stated.

Remember to take a backup copy of that CFG before editing it in case of mistakes.

Vista won't let you, drag the .cfg to your desktop, make the changes, save, and put it back in the folder.

And make sure you replace the 'x' with a number if stated.


Thanks for solving the problem for me but a new problem showed up the aircraft is not in the game !

Copy your Aircraft.cfg entry & paste it here so we can see it. All we need is the last couple of [fltsim.x] entries including the one you added.

Now you know why I suggested taking a backup copy of that file before editing it. If all else fails you can revert to the backup.

My bad it should 2 instead of 3 thanks for checking that hagar. If you deleted the orginal config yo have to put in the FSX CD and click the repair option
