Space, the unobtainable frontier?

Postby ShaneG_old » Fri Aug 22, 2008 5:02 am

Is there anything that will 'FLY' while in space? I hate that as soon as I reach the upper limits of the atmosphere, my aircraft(and all spacecraft I've tried) just go dead! :(  I know I can slew, but that sux!

Also, I've seen videos of the shuttle in space with the bay doors open and decent VC, and a beautiful reentry, The vid. info claims it's FSX and the launch sequence shots seem to back this up, I've DL all the shuttles I can find and all experience the above mentioned problem,
Am I just not looking in the right place or is someone using Orbiter and just pulling the sim communities chain? :-?

Below is a link or Orbiter Space Flight Simulator that you can check out, there seems to be a problem with their server right know, but I have looked at this before, it looks pretty cool.

Thanx ;), I've got Orbiter, it's just a little TOO real for me, I was hoping to find something for FSX that worked in space or an explanation as to why nothing appears to work in space, I understand why conventional jets and props won't but I feel that my space ships and shuttle should work. :-/   Anyone? :-?
