Flight Gear?

Has anybody checked this out and if so how does it compare to
FSX/X-Plane? Seems a little too good to be true. :-/

The concept of a totally free, communty developed flight sim really astounds me. I mean, look at all the great addons made for the MSFS,
With all the complaints that people have with the series, here is presented a chance for the community to show Microsoft how it should have been done! NOW, having said that, I am a DEDICATED FOR LIFE user of the MSFS series, I just thought I would bring to attention this interesting opportunity to the people here at simv. If you think the game looks bad, well here you can change that, and best of all it costs NOTHING! I've never tried this product, I was just wondering if anyone else had, or even heard of it.
