POSKY 777 Problems ( Not VC )

Postby Rich H » Thu Aug 21, 2008 12:47 pm

Well, I'm currently flying Heathrow to Dubai, but I've just found that my landing gear is not coming out. None of the wheels are coming out. I've tried switching planes, but it's still not working. I haven't set it as a failure,  so what is wrong? Please reply quickly, other wise I will have to perform a belly landing, or land on sea. The plane is the POSKY Boeing 777-200ER.

I suggest you press the pause key & save your flight until someone answers.

Anyone have a checklist for an emergency landing?
Tried the POSKY forum, they not very helpful : "We don't care if you make it or not."

they did not say that ::). i looked at the thread, some were helpful (mainly the mods and admins) and some weren't helpful (silly members)

now did you slow down to approach speeds to see if the gear works. generally you can't do this during cruise. they were down when you took off right? then they will go back down when you land

there is an entry in the aircraft.cfg that prevents the gear from being lowered at the higher speeds. so slow down to like 230kts or something like that and the gear should work fine ;)

I believe the default 747 does the same...no gear until you reach an "approavable" app speed and flap setting...no?

Actually the default 747 doesn't have this problem, it's any plane that uses "Fly by Wire" and i think the 777 series is fly by wire. Also it's like the deafult A321 the landing gear won't come out until you have reached like 200 knots and I THNK you also should have any degree of flaps down.

Also try the maunel pump command in FSX

Step 1. Place landing gear lever/switch in the down position
Step 2. HOLD ctrl+g it manually lowers the gear. KEEP holding in that command till the lights in the cockpit are green for the wheels.

Hope it works
