Assign Zoom in/out to control buttons

Postby Papafox » Sat Jul 26, 2008 7:41 pm

I've been using the - and + signs to change my zoom level, but I'd really like to assign those functions to two buttons on my CH Pro Throttle so that I can change my zoom level as needed in flight. Unfortunately, when I look in the MSFS X Control settings, I do not see an option for these two commands. That seems odd because they're quite useful.

I'm using Track IR to change my views by turning my head, but I'd really like to zoom in and zoom out with throttle buttons so that I don't have to scan the keyboard. Any suggestions?
Thx,
Papafox

Set your buttons to the same events as the - and + (actually =). They are 'Selection(decrease)' and 'Selection(increase).

Like the - and +, they will then zoom unless you change their focus to another function, for example, Simrate (R) or Comm(C). Backspace resets the focus to Zoom if/when necessary.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
