Open Panel.cfg (or Sound.cfg) in Notepad & change the name of the aircraft to one on that list.
The most common reason for doing this is that the panel & sound of FS9 aircraft are often aliased to the FS9 default B737_400 which is not included with FSX. Aircraft without a panel are not listed on the FSX aircraft selection menu. This is easily fixed by aliasing it to the FSX default b737_800 like this;
Change this;
[fltsim]
alias=B737_400\panel
to this;
[fltsim]
alias=B737_800\panel
Do the same for Sound.cfg if necessary. You can alias it to any flyable aircraft in your SimObjects\airplanes folder proving it has its own panel & sound files. Use the exact folder name of the aircraft you wish to alias to.
