I downloaded SP1 on my computer, but when I go to play, at the home section it says that I havn't downloaded it yet. So I guess what I'm really saying is...How do I apply it to the game?

You simply run the setup file you downloaded, it'll install automatically :)

One other thing to consider...SP1 (or even SP2) ought to be installed upon a "clean" install of FSX proper, e.g., minus any addons. Strange things have been posted regarding SP1/2 having been added after FSX has been customized in any way.
