Target framerate?

I finally figured out how to change the target FPS in FSX, I set it to unlimited, and I get great frames.

But I'm wondering if I'm using more CPU and stuff than I would if I ran it at 40 FPS or something?

Frames isn't the key, plability is. Much of the time a higher framelock will have higher frame rates, but you could also get blurries and stutters.

Now you mention it, I have had some jitter when rendering big environments and stuff...

I keep my frame rates locked at 31fps. The human eye won't be able to notice the difference with anything higher than that, and I want the computer to be worrying about other things...
