The Dreaded Red Text

Does anyone know where the entry is telling FSX to display the view text (E.G. "Spot-Plane View, Zoom = 1.00")? I have already disabled the other text popup entries in the FSX.CFG, but this one is stubborn . It sticks out like a sore thumb in videos I record and I want it G.O.N.E . Help?

Think I found what your looking for. I did it and get no red text!

Open the FSX.cfg file in notepad and make only the following edits..



{MAIN}
HideInfoText=1 <---- gets rid of the mag, brakes and other info on the screen (optional)
DisablePreload=1

Save the file

I believe you have to add that in. Its not already there. You can also look here. I got a ton of info from this thread! Nick N's post at the bottom
