:-?  A while back NickN posted some advise about shutting down some of the display on Vista.  Anyone have any idea what he said or where the post is.  I just spend the last 22 hours reinstalling my hard drive and all the stuff that was on it, FSX included, and that is all I have left to do.

Are you trying to play the game on vista but something is wrong ?

:D  No, it's a tweak that NickN wrote in one of these forums.  Turning off the transparency in Vista and some other stuff really improved the frame rates in FSX.

I do know that turning off the "Windows Aero" will help quite a bit
