Set up your flight. Click on fsx recorder in the menau bar, click record, then set the time you want it to stop recording. Ie in  300 seconds = 5 min, or you can select it to stop recpording say 120 secs after touch down. When it stops recording it will ask or  file name which is the one you will use for playback. It doesnot record movies, simply the position it was in the sim. To make it into a movie you will need to play thr file and use something like fraps to grab the video and sound. Also if you want flaps etc to operate you will have to make sure that battery atc are all on when you start playback as quiet often they will be off and then the hydaulics wont work,

In the sim, if Recorder is installed right you should have an Menu item named 'Add-ons'. Thats where you control Recorder.

For 'how to use Recorder': The help document is available from Start >Programs>FS Recorder for FSX>Manual.

Wrong menu. Click FLY NOW! to start the flight. Wait for it to load & then press Alt. This will display the in flight menu at the top of the screen.
