Setting default airport

Postby jimm57 » Mon Mar 31, 2008 9:43 am

How do I set my default airport in FSX so I'm not starting at bloody Friday Harbor? No Offence to those in Friday Harbor. Its a nice place, but I want to start at my local airport.

Searched, and couldnt turn up anything. Thanks

Open a scenario with the airport, time and aircraft as you want it.  Save it and either select the box (if available) to make it the default or load after saving and select it as default.  from then on you should be ok.  I`d select the weather after you load the default, so not every flight gets the same weather pattern.

Hope this helps,

Just create a flight and then put a check in 'make this the default flight' when saving.

Or:

Click 'fly now', and get things set up the way you want to start all flights, like all systems off etc., and then check 'make this the default flight' when saving.

Settings from your default flight will be applied to any new free flight you create. It will not effect any other saved flights.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
